Act Attack Madrid is the Spanish capital branch of the international Act Attack network, offering improv and acting courses in English to Madrid's international community under the umbrella of the organization founded in 2017 by George Rigopoulos. The school serves as a hub for English-speaking performers and students in Madrid, operating alongside MAD Improv and other established local improv companies. Classes run across improv, acting, and musical theater disciplines.

History

The Madrid branch was established as Act Attack expanded beyond its Amsterdam founding into major European cities with substantial international populations. George Rigopoulos designed the network to replicate the Act Attack model of community-centered theater education at each new location. Madrid, with its large expat community and active independent theater scene, provided a strong base for English-language theatrical training. The branch connects to the wider Act Attack network, allowing students to participate in events and workshops across its Barcelona, Lisbon, Athens, Berlin, and other European locations.

Artistic Identity

The Madrid branch shares Act Attack's organizational identity of theater as personal transformation and community building, with improv serving as one tool among several rather than the exclusive focus. Courses are taught in English, making the school particularly relevant to Madrid's international residents and to Spaniards who wish to practice theatrical work in a second language. The international composition of class participants is treated as a creative resource within each session.
