History
Founding (circa 2014)
Ralph MacLeod, a co-founder of Bad Dog Theatre Company and longtime figure in Toronto's improv community, established Social Capital Theatre alongside Carmine Lucarelli and Kerri Griffin at 154 Danforth Avenue on the second floor above the Black Swan Tavern, directly at the Broadview and Danforth subway station. The venue was conceived as a multi-form independent performance space accessible to a broad range of live entertainment acts.
