Camp Improv Utopia West
Camp Improv Utopia West is an improv retreat held annually over Memorial Day weekend at Camp Ocean Pines on the Central California coast near Cambria. Organized by Improv Utopia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Nick Armstrong, the event runs Friday afternoon through Monday morning and combines over 10 hours of workshops from master improv teachers with shared cabin lodging, meals prepared by professional kitchen staff, evening performances, and outdoor recreation.
History
Camp Improv Utopia West launched in 2011 as Improv Utopia's first camp and serves as the flagship West Coast retreat in the Improv Utopia series, which now includes additional annual retreats on the East Coast and at Yosemite.
