Crème de la Femme
Crème de la Femme is an all-femme improv festival held at iO Theater's Kingsbury stage in Chicago, Illinois. Produced by Janelle Soulliere and Grace Goze in partnership with iO Theater, the festival features more than 20 longform improv troupes composed of women and non-binary performers from Chicago's comedy community. Shows run from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM across two nights, with single-night and two-night passes available.
History
The inaugural edition of Crème de la Femme took place on May 29-30, 2026, marking Chicago's first dedicated all-femme improv festival.
Significance
Crème de la Femme represents the first festival in Chicago dedicated exclusively to femme improvisers, providing a focused platform for women and non-binary performers within the city's longform improv scene.
