Detroit Improv Festival
The Detroit Improv Festival (DIF) is an annual improv comedy festival held at Go Comedy! Improv Theater in Ferndale, Michigan. Produced by the Detroit Improv Collective, Inc. (DICo), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the festival brings together local and national improv troupes for a multi-day celebration of unscripted comedy. Programming spans longform and shortform improv, workshops led by instructors, and community events including meetups, panels, and parties.
History
The Detroit Improv Festival was founded in 2011 and produced by the Detroit Improv Collective, Inc. The festival reached its 13th edition in 2026.
