Detroit Women of Comedy Festival
The Detroit Women of Comedy Festival (DWCF) is an annual comedy festival held at Planet Ant Theatre in Hamtramck, Michigan. The festival celebrates and elevates women, trans, and non-binary comedy makers from Metro Detroit and beyond. It spans multiple formats including improv, stand-up, sketch, podcasts, alt-comedy, and workshops, and donates all profits to local nonprofits.
History
The festival was founded in 2018 by Detroit comedian Kate Holmes. The 2026 edition features two days across three stages with over 20 comedy blocks and 100+ performers.
