EUROPROV
EUROPROV is an annual English-language improv comedy festival held in Vienna, Austria, organized by American Improv, Austria's first English-language improv school. The festival runs for approximately ten days at Cafe Aera in Vienna's first district, bringing together performers, teachers, and ensembles from across Europe and the United States for workshops, shows, and masterclasses. The festival format pairs daytime workshops covering scenework, character development, and storytelling with nightly performances featuring full-length improvised plays, improv games, and unscripted shows.
History
EUROPROV is organized by American Improv, which was founded in 2020 by Peter Graff. The 2025 edition featured artists from nine countries and sold-out shows.
Significance
EUROPROV serves as Europe's primary annual gathering for English-language improv, drawing performers and ensembles from across Europe and the United States.
