Robin Hood International Improv Festival
The Robin Hood International Improv Festival (RHIIF) is an international improv comedy festival held annually in Nottingham, England, organised by The Curious Network CIC. It programmes a mix of international teachers and emerging voices alongside UK talent for shows, workshops, coaching sessions, and ensemble building. The festival accepts roughly 10 to 15 percent of applicants, with nearly 150 improvisers participating each year.
History
The festival was created by Nottingham-based improvisers Lloydie James Lloyd and Liam Webber, born from a conversation at iO Chicago, and launched in September 2022. The 2026 edition marks its fifth year.
Significance
RHIIF pursues a dual mission of bringing international improv to Nottingham and platforming Nottingham's improv scene to the wider world, with year-round community programming run under the Little John Improv banner in partnership with Nottingham Playhouse.
