La Federacion de Impro
La Federacion de Impro is an Argentine coalition of independent improv companies formed in 2014 to produce and develop improv shows collectively, with member groups including Abel Sanchez de Leon, Kawabbonga, Global Impro, Ring Boom Bam, El Brincadeira, Paquidermos, and El Secreto.
History
La Federacion de Impro was formed in Buenos Aires in 2014 as a coalition bringing together independent improv companies to collaborate on show creation and deepen the practice of improvisation collectively. The member groups -- Abel Sanchez de Leon, Kawabbonga, Global Impro, Ring Boom Bam, El Brincadeira, Paquidermos, and El Secreto -- operated within the Buenos Aires independent improv ecosystem while pooling resources and artistic efforts through the federation structure. The coalition model reflected a common response by smaller independent companies to the challenges of production costs and audience development in a competitive market.
Artistic Identity
La Federacion de Impro operates as a coalition rather than a single ensemble, bringing together distinct independent companies under a shared production framework to create improv shows that individual member groups might not sustain alone.
