Keith Strachan

Keith Strachan (born 21 January 1944, Consett, County Durham) is an English composer and theatre director who built an extensive career in musical theatre after leaving a career as a mathematics teacher. He directed West End productions including Elvis the Musical (1977) and Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens (1996), and served as musical director for Grease (1979). His composing work spans television themes, most notably the theme for the international game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (1998), developed in one week with his son Matthew Strachan and licensed in over 100 countries.
