International Improv Community Vienna
The International Improv Community Vienna (IICV) is the largest English-language improv community in Austria, organising sessions, classes, workshops, and shows, and hosting EUROPROV, Europe's English-language improv festival.
History
The International Improv Community Vienna was founded in 2015 to create a gathering point for English-speaking improvisers in the Austrian capital. The organisation grew into the city's largest English-language improv network, running classes and workshops alongside regular public performances. IICV also took on the role of hosting EUROPROV, a festival dedicated to English-language improv comedy that draws participants and audiences from across Europe, cementing Vienna's position as a hub for international improv exchange.
Artistic Identity
IICV operates as a community-centred organisation, prioritising broad participation across skill levels while also producing the continent-wide EUROPROV festival platform.
Legacy
Through EUROPROV, IICV has given Vienna an outsized role in the European English-language improv circuit and created a recurring event that connects practitioners from across the continent.
