Improcrash is one of Buenos Aires's established theatrical improvisation companies, active since 2005 and part of the city's internationally connected improv scene.

History

Improcrash was founded in 2005 and developed within the Buenos Aires improv ecosystem that draws simultaneously on North American improv traditions and the country's own theatrical heritage, including influences from Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed. Buenos Aires had by the mid-2000s become one of South America's most active improv markets, sustaining dozens of companies operating in competitive match and long-form formats. Improcrash contributed to this ecosystem over multiple decades of activity.

Artistic Identity

Improcrash operates within the Buenos Aires tradition of combining North American improv structures with the country's own performative and theatrical sensibilities.
