Improvisneyland

Improvisneyland was founded in Bucharest in 2008 and built one of the most significant improv performance records in Romania, accumulating more than 800 shows at the National Theatre Bucharest over its years of operation. The company developed the Improv Academy, a structured training programme that graduated more than 1,000 students, creating the largest pool of trained improvisers in the country. The National Theatre partnership gave Improvisneyland institutional prestige unusual for an improv company and embedded its work in the mainstream of Romanian performing arts.

Improvisneyland combines high-volume performance at a major national venue with a large-scale training academy, building both artistic impact and practitioner capacity across the Romanian improv community.

As Romania's founding major improv institution, Improvisneyland established improv at the National Theatre Bucharest and through the Improv Academy trained over 1,000 practitioners, creating the foundation for the country's sustained improv scene.
