History

Mahser-i Cumbus was founded in Istanbul in 2001, establishing itself as one of Turkey's earliest dedicated improvisational theatre organisations. In January 2008, the company was among the first in Turkey to formally introduce the Theatresports format to Turkish audiences. The company has since operated continuously for over two decades, developing a performance and training program in Istanbul. Shows are staged regularly at Trump Sahne in Mecidiyekoy, and the company runs ongoing workshops.

Artistic Identity

Mahser-i Cumbus performs across both Turkish-language improvisation and the Theatresports competitive format. As one of Turkey's founding improv organisations, the company has been central to building the institutional foundations of the Turkish improv scene.
