Skits and Giggles is a Taichung English-language improv performance group founded in 2007 as Taichung Improv, offering open improv classes and performances at local venues.
History
Skits and Giggles was originally founded in 2007 under the name Taichung Improv, establishing English-language improv performance in Taiwan's second city. The group subsequently rebranded as Skits and Giggles, maintaining open class programming and regular performances at Taichung venues. Operating at the same time as the Taipei-based FIG and Guts ensembles, Skits and Giggles gave Taiwan's second-largest city its own sustained improv programme rather than relying entirely on the capital's organisations.
Artistic Identity
Skits and Giggles combines open access improv classes with public performances, creating an accessible point of entry for English-language improv in Taichung.
