Keith Johnstone's touring improvisation company based in London, active from approximately 1966 to 1971. Theatre Machine performed Johnstone's improvisational techniques across Europe and was the direct precursor to the Theatresports format he later developed in Calgary. The company demonstrated that improvisation could be a viable performance form in its own right.
