Spontaneity
The capacity to act on impulse without censoring, planning, or second-guessing. Keith Johnstone's pedagogy centers on recovering the spontaneity that socialization suppresses: his exercises are designed to bypass the internal critic that blocks creative impulses. Spontaneity does not mean randomness; it means allowing instinct to lead.
