Rob Reiner

Rob Reiner was an American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter who gained prominence portraying Michael 'Meathead' Stivic in the CBS sitcom All in the Family from 1971 to 1979, a role that earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor. He transitioned to directing in the 1980s, creating the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap (1984) as well as Stand by Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally... (1989), Misery (1990), and A Few Good Men (1992). His work spanned comedy, drama, romance, and documentary, earning him nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and nine Golden Globe Awards.
