Sam Richardson
Sam Richardson is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer who trained in improvisational comedy at the Second City Training Center in Detroit before moving to Chicago in 2007 to join the flagship Second City theater. He performed with The Second City Detroit and the Planet Ant Theatre in Hamtramck, building foundational skills in scene work and character development. His improvisational background informed his breakthrough television role as Richard Splett on HBO's Veep and his later work co-creating and starring in the comedy series Detroiters alongside Tim Robinson.
